Why do men need to be involved?

Gender violence is not just a women’s issue. Gender violence is a global issue that impacts us all. We need to take note of this and work together to end gender violence against women and girls. That’s why we launched #BreakTheSilence.
This campaign urges all of us to speak up and intervene when we see someone being abused or harassed. It’s time for all of us to commit to ending violence against women and girls.

We need to take a stand, and we need men to step up and end gender violence.

Who we are

Press Red is a Christian organisation educating, equipping, and empowering on the issues of violence and abuse against women and girls. Founded in 2016 by Michele Hawthorne, we make people aware of the injustices which are happening worldwide and on our doorstep, providing them with the tools and resources they need to make a difference.

We are a force for change, leading a movement of people, churches, and organisations who refuse to accept the status quo, and are committed to helping bring hope and healing into harrowing situations.
