Below is a list of some of the charities and services that exist to help people who are suffering. It is not an exhaustive list — there may be other help in your area — but we hope you will find this a great starting point.

A national organisation which provides advice, support and a 24hr abuse helpline.

The Survivor’s Handbook is free and provides practical support and information for women experiencing domestic abuse. The handbook offers guidance on a wide range of issues, such as housing, money, helping your children, and your legal rights.

Refuge supports women, children & men experiencing domestic violence with a range of services.

Apna Haq
Apna Haq supports Black and minoritised women and girls in Rotherham, South Yorkshire who are experiencing any form of violence, including domestic violence. Apna Haq offer long-term support helping women heal from the trauma of abuse and make the transition from crisis situations to safe, independent, violence-free lives.
