The theme of this conference is Roots and Fruits. When we see the awful extent of violence and abuse against women, whether domestic abuse, sex-trafficking, FGM, female foeticide of one of many other horrific abuses we have to ask WHY? We can’t tackle abuse against women unless we look at what drives it and the sad truth is that many times religion is complicit in this, as followers of Jesus we have to look to ourselves first. It is especially important for churches to be educated on this as we are the light of the world.
We have some great speakers lined up. The main plenary sessions will be taken by Kevin Giles who is an Australian Bible teacher, author and minister. We will also have input from the author of Scars Across Humanity, Elaine Storkey. Esme Bouwers will be talking about healing the gender divide – Esme is South African and serves with the World Evangelical Alliance.
We look forward to welcoming you on 21st November 2020, 10am to 4pm. Please feel free to share this website link – one of the lovely things with an online conference is that numbers and geography do not limit us!
