Below is a list of some of the charities and services that exist to help people who are suffering. It is not an exhaustive list — there may be other help in your area — but we hope you will find this a great starting point.

A national organisation which provides advice, support and a 24hr abuse helpline.

National Domestic Violence Helpline

If you have been personally affected by abuse or violence or are still in an abusive or violent relationship you can get help. ll you are based in the UK you can call the Domestic Violence helpline. It‘s a confidential 24 hour service.

CHILDLINE

Childline is a counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the United Kingdom provided by the NSPCC. Childline deals with any issue which causes distress or concern, common issues dealt with include child abuse, bullying, mental illness, parental separation or divorce, teenage pregnancy, substance misuse, neglect, and psychological abuse.
