Meet the team
We are proud to have Michele Hawthorne as our patron.
Trustees: Tim Napper (Chair), Gilly Hall, Marion White, Colin Hardicre, Mike Wilson, Lily Newman and Sam Ward.
She is passionate about tackling issues of injustice and oppression, especially those around gender and believes that challenging some of the deep beliefs and theology that lie below the surface is a vital part of this.
Rosemary took on the leadership of Press Red in the midst of what is possibly the greatest challenge to our generation and is committed to growing Press Red into a movement that helps change hearts and minds across the world.
She has a Masters in Transformational Development from Eastern College in Australia.
Michelle is passionate about interacting with people and developing meaningful, impactful, and collaborative relationships.
Michelle joins the team working alongside Rose to continue to progress the intervention measures Press Red uses to raise awareness, educate, and hold the relevant people, particularly leaders and members within the Church; to have a zero-tolerance stance towards the mistreatment of females in any form and to represent Jesus first and foremost in what we say, what we do and how we live in this matter.
Matt first became involved with the issue of violence against women when he worked as an applied drama practitioner within ‘domestic violence’ probation groups. His introduction to Press Red was creating and performing the awareness theatre piece, ‘Control,’ highlighting coercive control tactics.
Emma uses music and media to share the love of God and communicate through stories and songs.
Emma is passionate about the issue of violence against women, and believe things desperately need to change in our world, in our lifetime to break the cycle of abuse and oppression against women and girls.
